The Tennessee half of a border town
Ardmore, Tennessee, lies mostly in Giles County, with its eastern parts in Lincoln County, and had 1,217 residents at the 2020 census. It borders its sister city, Ardmore, Alabama.[1]
It began in 1911 as a railroad stop called Austin and became Ardmore when the L&N opened a depot in 1914. The city incorporated in 1949.[1]
