A small Cullman County town on State Route 69

Baileyton sits in Cullman County, northeast of the city of Cullman along State Route 69.  A farmer from Georgia named Robert Bailey established the settlement in 1870, and the town was incorporated in 1973.[1]

The census counted 649 residents in 2020, spread across about 5 square miles at an elevation near 971 feet.  Fairview lies just to the west along the same highway, and the Joppa community sits to the northeast near State Route 67.[1]
