A bluff town with a Jackson legend
Locust Fork takes its name from a story that General Jackson carved his name in a locust tree in 1815. It incorporated in 1977 and counted 1,192 residents in 2020.[1]
The town stands on a bluff above the Blackburn Fork of the Little Warrior River, in a northeast to southwest Appalachian valley.[1]
