A small town on Brindlee Mountain
Union Grove sits at 1,027 feet on Brindley Mountain, near the southwestern edge of the Appalachian Plateau, in Marshall County. The 2020 census counted 67 residents across roughly 0.57 square miles.[1]
The name comes from Civil War days, when Union troops are said to have camped there for some time after passing through Parches Cove. Students attend Marshall County Schools campuses such as Brindlee Mountain Primary, Elementary, Middle and High School.[1]
